Allow Ghyd to arrange your airport pick-up and drop-off for your group. Our drivers know the specific needs

of our guests as well as remain in contact with the rest of the Ghyd team, ensuring your safe arrival and departure.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:


Pick up & Drop off from PTY Airport to Casa Teca. If you have arranged a rental car in Rio Hato, 

they will be happy to take you to your rental car location and assist you. Allowing you to follow them for the remainder of the drive to Casa Teca.  

If your group is arriving on separate flights but have the same arrival time, we can typically wait for the entire group. If you do not want to wait for the remainder of your party, a separate transfer service will be required.

Renting a Vehicle

As a means of transportation within and just outside the gates of Buenaventura, you will need a rental car during your stay. We recommend using the National Car Rental in Rio Hato. Located within the same shopping center as the Super 99 grocery store, the location is only minutes from the entrance of Buenaventura. 


IMPORTANT INFORMATION


  • Closes at 5 pm on Saturdays and closed on Sundays. Make sure to double-check your arrival time if you're arriving from the US on Saturday, to ensure you can make the pick-up time. Occasionally, Judith (our concierge) can arrange for an employee of National Car Rental to wait a few minutes after closing on Saturday afternoon, should you be a few minutes late, but this is NOT a guarantee. 
  • If you arrive after office hours on Saturday, you will have to pick-up the car on Monday. National does offer a pick-up service and will be happy to come to Casa Teca to pick you up. 
  • National will also pick up the car from Casa Teca at the end of your stay.

Driving direct from PTY Airport

Although there are plenty of rental car options to choose from at the PTY Airport, unless you are very familiar with driving in a foreign country, we discourage you from doing so. 


If you are considering renting a vehicle from the airport, please give us a call before you do, so we can discuss some of the differences and things you will want to be made aware of.

Directions

We recommend using the GPS mobile applications, Waze or Google Maps when navigating to and from locations in Panama. Make sure to download and become familiar with them prior to your trip. As always, don't hesitate to ask us for help.

    Although we provide basic toiletry items, we recommend purchasing your preferred soaps, conditioners and other necessities. 

    Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 and other circumstances, we no longer provide grocery service prior to arrival. If we decide to begin offering this service again, we will make sure to inform you.
